How to Choose Kurzweil
  • How do I choose the software I need?
Why network version?

Access K3000 with personal settings and files anywhere. You install your licenses on a Local server in the school (LAN), or on a central Wide Area district server (WAN). The number of users operating K3000 simultaneously is limited to the number of licenses on the server, but you can install K3000 on as many computers as you like. License-to-Go feature lets you assign licenses to specific machines for hours, days, weeks, even a whole school year so you have a Kurzweil license available for high-stakes testing, whole class instruction, teacher training, etc. You can even use License-to-Go for home use for teachers or students, or for laptop computers not on the network.

New Web-based Licensing
You can now have some or all of your K3000 Network licenses live on Cambium’s server. Another way to get home use for your students and teachers, reduce load on your network servers and/or deliver licenses to rural schools whose internet access may be more reliable than access to a district network.

Convert to Network Version
Kurzweil 3000 Network is a convenient and easy-to-manage way to get the most out of your accumulated K3000 licenses. You can convert and upgrade old single versions to network licenses - server or web-based - to get the most value out of your current and future purchases. Contact Bridges for details.

For Users with Physical Challenges (Tremors, Tone Fine Motor/Targeting)
Consider an IntelliKeys keyboard and the Popular Software Overlays. Comes with an overlay with just the read function (for keyguard use [17-KG-SNP3H 3] Hole Snap-In Keyguard) and another with all the key student tools—highlighters, dictionary access, etc., (for keyguard use [17-KG-96H] Single Keyguard with 96 Holes).

For a Switch user
Bridges has created custom ready-made scanning setups with functional content and scripting for Tobii Communicator, The Grid II and Discover (Setups Vol 2 – Literacy). Contact Bridges for details.
