Brandon Readtopia implementation 0
In 2019, supported by Bridges Professional Learning, 10 classes in Brandon Manitoba consisting of teams of 4 teachers each, implemented curricula for student with complex learning needs (i.e. AAC users, cognitive, sensory challenges, physical disabilities):
- Readtopia, the comprehensive experiential instructional reading program.
- Equals math curriculum that connects functional math to abstract ideas.
- First Author comprehensive writing curriculum that teaches how to write and measures writing progress (introduced this year)
So far, despite the pandemic, the Brandon curriculum project has been a wonderful experience and a great success
COVID Update: Blind Low Vision Apps Free for Home: JAWS, ZoomText, Fusion 1
JAWS, ZoomText, and Fusion -- the leading assistive technology apps for low vision or blind users -- are available free of charge for personal computers at home, until June 30, 2020 as a response to the COVID crisis.
This offer is available to every household in the US and Canada.

COVID Update: Don Johnston, Clicker apps available for home 0
With most schools across the country now closed as the result of the coronavirus outbreak, many of our manufacturers are offering special programs to support those students that are going home for eLearning. Don Johnston, the developer of Co:Writer, Snap&Read and Readtopia, and Crick, developer of the new Clicker 8 and Clicker Writer app are offering free access to their tools.
