With most schools across the country now closed as the result of the coronavirus outbreak, many of our manufacturers are offering special programs to support those students that are going home for eLearning. Don Johnston, the developer of Co:Writer, Snap&Read and Readtopia, and Crick, developer of the new Clicker 8 and Clicker Writer app are offering free access to their tools.

Coding is more and more a focus of many curriculum initiatives across Canada. Where team based problem solving, strategizing, logical thinking meets with technology, coding skills are essential in today’s world.
At ISTE 2018, Bridges’ Leanne Husk and Susie Blackstien-Adler presented on coding with special needs students. Through coding students with physical and cognitive challenges can learn important life skills, and connect with the curriculum. Bridges new Coding Kit and Accessible Coding Workshop makes teaching coding to students with challenges, easy.
