Each course is organized into modules that include interactive activities, readings, video clips from live training, and “use your content” activities that allow users to generate lessons using their own content curriculum materials. Suggestions for differentiation and scaffold to support struggling readers and writers are included.
Keys to Literacy online courses are asynchronous which means users can complete the course at their convenience; they may log in at any time to work through the modules at their own pace. Course registration includes a Keys to Literacy training book.

This online course provides professional development for content writing instruction. The course is appropriate for all grades 4-12 educators and takes approximately 14 hours to complete.

This online course provides professional development for comprehension instruction. The course is appropriate for all grades 4-12 educators and takes approximately 13.5 hours to complete.

This online course provides professional development for vocabulary instruction that can be used in every subject. The course is appropriate for all grades 3-12 educators and takes approximately 9.5 hours to complete.

This online course provides professional development for basic comprehension instruction. The course is appropriate for all grades K-3 educators and takes approximately 13.5 hours to complete.
