Gizmos are most effective when used a support tool to regular lesson plans. Through them students can test concepts learnt in class by making predictions, changing manipulatives, visualizing and comparing their outcomes.
With Gizmos students learn from more than simply observing, they can control their own simulations, play around with variables and see how their actions affect the results – just like scientists and mathematicians.
Each Gizmo comes complete with a step-by-step, inquiry-based lesson that can be used as-i, or is easily customizable by teachers.
Assessment and reporting
Students can check their understanding and get helpful feedback after every Gizmo. Teachers can use immediate results to guide instructional decision making.
