Account Manager & Blind/Low Vision (BLV) Product Specialist

As the Account Manager & Blind/Low Vision (BLV) Product Specialist, you’ll grow our markets for BLV products and services in Ontario and Canada and also represent all of our education solutions to schools in an Ontario territory (Eastern).

This is a consultative sales role developing partnerships with school boards, government and organizations.

This role is ideal for someone who has:

  • Experience supporting children or adults with special needs; bonus for blind and low vision specifically.
  • Work or experience with the education sector; sales or marketing a bonus.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and deepen relationships with existing professional clients
  • Develop a prospecting strategy to reach school boards, educators, clinics, and accessibility teams
  • Understand customer needs and align solutions with their priorities, timelines, and purchasing cycles in both the public and private sectors.
  • Collaborate with Product Management and Marketing to shape BLV product offerings and supporting marketing materials.
  • Work closely with Customer Service to ensure smooth on-boarding, troubleshooting, and long term satisfaction of our customers.

What We're looking for

  • Background or interest in special education, or diverse learners or the technology they use
  • Experience working in or with school boards, educators, or therapy/clinical environments is a strong asset
  • Sales experience, particularly long-term consultative sales and relationship building is a strong asset
  • Strong planning, organization, and analytical skills
  • Independent thinker with solid problem solving abilities
  • A tech fan, excited by the latest innovations that can change people’s lives.
  • Collaborative team player who values long term relationships and understands the needs of educators and clinicians
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills; French is an asset
  • A passion for people and a commitment to service
  • Proficiency with MS Office

Contract Instructor Position

Bridges seeks contract instructors in Toronto and Waterloo to teach educators and students with diverse learning challenges to use assistive technology. Candidates should have a strong knowledge of literacy instruction as well as an aptitude and interest in the use of technology. Experience working with students with a range of learning challenges and experience with Google Workspace and assistive technology are assets.

Role

You will be responsible for training students/teachers in the use of technology to support reading/writing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Communicate with school staff
  • Prepare instructional materials and training plans
  • Instruct students and educators individually and in small groups on the use of technology to access and demonstrate learning
  • Support learning tasks that involve reading and writing
  • Communicate with training coordinator and manager

What We're looking for

  • Post-secondary degree, ideally with a connection to education, literacy, or special education
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work with a team
  • Personal experience with computer technology
  • Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle
  • Experience with assistive technology is an asset
