All Cosmo Dot Setup App Features

Forget Devices: Unpairs your Cosmo Dot from all previously connected devices. Each Dot can be paired with up to seven third-party devices. 

Battery Saver: Enable Battery Saver to extend the battery life of your Dot by reducing LED brightness and optimising power consumption. Note: Some LED features may be limited when this feature is enabled.

  • OFF: The Dot will automatically power off after 4 hours of inactivity.
  • ON: After 20 minutes of inactivity, the Dot’s light will turn off, but the Dot will remain connected. The Dot will fully power off after 3 hours of inactivity.

Dot Colour: Choose the LED colour that your Cosmo Dot will display. The device will light up in this colour when activated. 

Brightness: Control how bright the Dot’s light is (five levels from 0-100%). Note: higher brightness uses more battery. 

Touch-sensitivity: Adjust how sensitive the Dot is to touch (0-100%). Lower sensitivity requires a firmer press; Higher sensitivity requires a softer press. 

Light Mode: Choose how the Dot lights up when pressed (five modes available).

Primary Action: Choose the keyboard input your Cosmo Dot will send when pressed:

  • Space: Play/Pause; Move to the next item (AAC apps)
  • Enter: Select an item (browser, AAC apps)
  • Tab: Move to next item (browser, AAC apps)
  • Arrow up/down/left/right: Mirrors the keyboard arrow keys, usually used for playing games.
  • Left/Right click: Mirrors the mouse left and right button.
  • Volume up/down: Controls volume
  • Play/Pause: Controls media
  • Mute/Unmute: Controls media
  • F7/F8/~1/~3: Specific Windows functions

Action Trigger:

  • On press: The chosen character/action is triggered when the Dot is pressed down.
  • On release: The chosen character/action is triggered when you lift your hand off the Dot. 

Tip: “On release” is better for precise timing, while “On press” is instant. 

Activation Delay: Press and hold for 0 to 2 seconds to activate the Primary Action. Helps prevent accidental or repeated activation caused by uncontrolled or involuntary movements.

Sound Level: Adds a soft “click” sound to support users with low vision (Off, Low, Medium, High). This setting helps confirm when the Dot is activated for users with visual impairments. Dot has to be updated to firmware version 4.6.00+ to use this feature. 

Ignore Repeat: Treats continuous pressing as a single activation—useful for users who may rest on the Dot or press for longer than intended. ON: Each press sends only one action. OFF: Pressing and holding the Dot sends repeated actions (like holding down a keyboard key.)

Stay On When Disconnected: Prevents the Dot from automatically powering off after 5 minutes when it is not connected to a third-party device

Stay On When Connected: Prevents the Dot from automatically powering off after 1 hour when it is connected to a third-party device.

Use While Charging: Allows Bluetooth access and standard operation while the Dot is charging instead of showing charging status only.

Shipping 

What shipping options are available?

Most of our items are shipped by secured courier, which takes 3-5 business days to reach the customer. Where service is not available, or due to the special requirements of the product, we will also use UPS, Puralator or Canada Post. 

Ordering multiple, heavy-weighted items? 

If our store can’t calculate your shipping costs during checkout, your order may fall outside weight, size, or destination restrictions, for online ordering.

How much does shipping cost?

Shipping is calculated individually depending on the weight and size of the item. This will be calculated automatically upon checkout and will be included in the total price when you go to the checkout.

How long does it take for me to receive my order?

Order processing time depends on availability of the product from the manufacturer, but typically products are shipped within 10-15 business days after the order is placed. See shipping options for the number of days it will take to reach you after it leaves our warehouse.

Do you ship internationally?

No, we currently sell our products and services only in Canada.

How can I track my order?

When the order is shipped out, you will receive an e-mail with a tracking number. If you do not receive this e-mail, please call 1-800-353-1107 (8:30am - 4:30pm EST) to receive your tracking number.

 

Returns

 

Do you offer a money back guarantee?

We offer a 21-day money-back guarantee unless otherwise noted. Products must be returned in a resalable condition as determined by Bridges. Returns are subject to a 20 percent restocking fee after 21-days. Many of our manufacturers offer additional limited warranties of longer durations on their products. Returns will no longer be accepted after a period of 90 days. Please call us at 1-800-353-1107 (8:30am - 4:30pm EST) or send an e-mail to info@bridges-canada.com for more information about manufacturer's warranties or returning your product.

Please note, customers cannot return software for a refund.  However, we do offer a store credit for the full amount if returned within 21 days. After 21 days a restocking fee may apply.

How do I return a product?

To return a product you need to get a Return Authorization (R.A.) number from us. Please call us at 1-800-353-1107 (8:30am - 4:30pm EST), e-mail us at info@bridges-canada.com or fax us at 905-542-7242 to get an R.A. number and further instructions. Please note, Bridges will not accept returns without an R.A. number. The customer is responsible for shipping costs of returned products.
